12 Secondary Schools competed in the annual junior beach volleyball champs at Mount Main Beach, which ended up as the last BOPSS event to take place in 2022. Thank you to all the teams who travelled to Tauranga to compete for your school.

Ōpōtiki College in partnership with Sport Bay of Plenty and Sport NZ, and with support from Ōpōtiki District Council, are completing an initial investigation into the need and feasibility of installing a cover on the multi-purpose sports turf and the swimming pool, which are both located at the college.
