The GO4it programme is closely linked to the New Zealand Health and Physical Education Curriculum for Years 1 to 6. GO4it educators visit participating Bay of Plenty schools to deliver fun physical games and activities during P.E. class time, and help teachers with professional development opportunities in physical education.

As COVID-19 forced the closure of schools across the country, our GO4it quickly adapted to ensure students at home could still participate in fun physical activities and games at home.

The team produced more than 45 videos and activities to enable to students up to year 6 from participating schools to continue to develop their fundamental movement skills.

The GO4it at Home videos have been viewed 4,257 times since they launched in early April. The activities drew on object readily available around the home, and encourage kids to proactive their balance, throwing, kicking and striking skills through regular weekly activities during lockdown.
