Get to know the presenters:

Dr Alida Shanks, Legancy Manager, WaiBOP Football

Alida’s career is more of a jungle gym than a ladder, with experience across the commercial, public, and sport sectors. She is a digital and traditional marketing and communication expert, data translator, problem solver, creative and critical thinker, a strategic plan architect, and hands-on deliverer. Alida has volunteered with a number of football clubs over the last 20 years and worked in the sport sector for more than seven years, including communication roles at Capital Football, Northern Football, and NZ Football, as well as a season with the Wellington Phoenix in a community development role. She currently works for WaiBOP Football as the Legacy Manager following the FIFA Women’s World Cup held last year. Alida recently completed her PhD examining gender equity and belonging in community football organisations, that also included an in-depth look at the history of women’s football in Aotearoa NZ.

Nat Broadhead, Women’s Federation Development Officer, WaiBOP Football. Also, Football CoachForce Officer - Central & Eastern BOP

I am a passionate and self-motivated Women’s Federation Development Officer, Sports Manager, Assistant Coach and Head Coach with six years’ experience in grassroots through to senior Waikato Bay of Plenty representative wāhine football teams in NZ National Competitions. I have a Bachelor of Sport and Leisure Studies, hold multiple NZ Football Coaching Awards and a strong background in organising team logistical and operational requirements in high performance sport environments. Fun fact: I was the Hamilton/Kirikiriroa Tazuni mascot at this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.
