Workshop - Beginner's Cycle Skills Course

Be cycle savvy with a FREE five-week cycle skills course for adults. If you are new to cycling, haven’t been on a bike for years or lack confidence, this course is for you!
This is a five-week beginner's block course, running five consecutive Wednesdays from March 28 to April 25, from 9am to 11am.
This practical course is designed to give you the skills and confidence for riding on/off road and will cover:
- Bike set up and how to fix a puncture
- Braking and use of gears
- On road safe cycle skills
- Managing intersections and single lane roundabouts.
Course will commence at a different location each week and are as follows:
Week 1: Kulim Park, Kulim Ave, Otumoetai
Week 2: Outside Historic Village, 17th Ave
Week 3: Casslani Playground Carpark, The Lakes
Week 4: Sport BOP, corner 13th Ave and Devonport Rd
Week 5: Sulphur Point Boat Ramp – off Cross Rd
Limited spaces, so registrations are essential.
