This year’s Primary School Orienteering was held out at McLarens Falls Park which is situated outside of Tauranga on the way up the Kaimai Ranges. This is an awesome setting and perfect for the Orienteering event.
The weather also sorted itself out after a few weeks of a pretty mixed bag of Spring conditions. Approx. 245 children took part, some competing as individuals and others in teams of 2 or 3. The event this year was run as a Rogaine which meant all competitors had to navigate the course within a 30 minute time limit.
Congratulations to all students that took part. Otumoetai Primary took out the overall school points trophy again…for the 5th year running!
