In September, International Coach Developer Wayne Goldsmith is visiting the Bay of Plenty as part of his Sport Experience – Making Sport Better Tour of New Zealand.
Wayne has made multiple trips to the Bay over the years and is a “good friend” of Sport Bay of Plenty.
Wayne’s coaching, thinking and teaching have influenced some of the world’s leading athletes, coaches and teams. He is an inspirational speaker and presenter who is able to educate, entertain, challenge and engage audiences of all ages. He has worked with Olympic and high performance teams and coaches from multiple sporting codes across the globe, and speaks internationally for national sporting organisations.
While in the Bay, Wayne will be presenting two workshops. The focus of his two workshops will be on helping coaches to get better at coaching and to help parents to be the best sporting parents they can be.
In Rotorua Wayne will be presenting a session called “Sporting Parents – 10 Critical Moments”. This session looks at the ten critical moments in your child’s sporting journey when you need to be exceptional as a sporting parent. This session will be held at Toi Ohomai, Mokoia Campus, Rotorua from 6pm-7.30pm.
In Tauranga Wayne is hosting a workshop for coaches wanting to find new and better ways of making their coaching more engaging, exciting and enjoyable. This workshop is called “Coaching: The Art and the Heart” and will be held on Friday 21st September from 6.00pm – 7.30pm at Toi Ohomai, Windermere Campus, Tauranga.
