Please find below a list of policies that Tauranga City Council are currently working on. These all have the potential directly or indirectly impact on your sports operations so make sure you read the details and have your say. Coastal Reserve Management Plan Review
This is the plan that guides Councils decision making for things like trees, seating and vegetation management right along the coast. Your comments will help staff write the first draft of the new plan. It will cover Pilot Bay, Mount Drury, and all of the coast from Mount Main beach to the end of Papamoa. Mauao is not included as it has a separate management plan.

Tauranga Disability Strategy
The Council is developing a Disability Strategy for the city. Council is committed to making Tauranga a more inclusive place for those with disabilities. To give your feedback on what you think should be included in the Strategy fill in the survey form.
Age Friendly City
The Council is leading a multi-agency project to make Tauranga an Age-Friendly City and wants to hear directly from residents about the issues faced by older people living in Tauranga. To complete the online survey or find out about a community workshop near you check out the Council website.
Draft Smokefree Places Policy
The purpose of the policy is to reduce the visibility of smoking in our community by encouraging people to refrain from smoking in identified public places. This will help promote a clean, safe and healthy environment for our community. Copies of the Draft policy and submission forms are available from the Council office or on their website.
