Swim for Life lessons

Our Active Families had a busy time at the CCS Swim School Pool during the school holidays, learning how to Swim and Survive. Swim for Life lessons encourage children by making their learning to swim experience fun and rewarding. 12 children took part in the programme with great progress made by all.
It was great to see the water confidence gained and especially one child who progressed from not wanting to hop in the water in the first lesson to being able to float, submerge and swim 5 metres by the last lesson.
Smiles all around at this fantastic achievement – a great reward for swim instructor Gaylene Johnson. “This is what it’s all about!”
The Active families programme at Sport BOP aims to support, encourage and motivate families to make healthier lifestyle choices through increasing their levels of physical activities.
