Thursday, July 12, 2018

The 2018 Netball season is quickly approaching the halfway mark and there has been some great action in the Bay over the past couple of months.

April saw the inaugural Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone Club Tournament take place at Harbourside Netball Centre. Despite some wet conditions, the club teams were able to play some quality preseason netball. Congratulations to the Fraser Tech Netball Club for taking out the 2018 title. June 13 saw the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic take on the Northern Stars in round 6 of the ANZ Premiership at ASB Baypark Arena. In front of an awesome crowd, the Magic walked away with a 64-61 win.
