The Thank a Sport Maker campaign is part of a partnership with the Lotto Volunteer Foundation and Sport NZ that will see the Bay of Plenty sharing in over $1 million of quality clothing and sports gear to be awarded to Sport Makers throughout New Zealand over the next three years.
Sport Bay of Plenty would like to announce their fourth Bay of Plenty Sport Maker of the Month recipients. Angela Thomas, Western Bay of Plenty – Tauranga Synchronised Swimming Club, Simon Dobson, Central Bay of Plenty – Reporoa Valley Soccer Club and Mira Amo Amo, Eastern Bay of Plenty – Opotiki College Soccer.
Megan Cleverley, Sport Manager said that “We are continually blown away by not only the number of volunteers in sport across the region but the hours they dedicate to ensure that sport happens in schools, clubs and in the community. Many of our volunteers do not want recognition for their time and efforts but Sport Maker is one of those ways to provide the opportunity for those receiving this support to say thank you. “
Our Sport Makers contribution to sport is detailed below. Each Sport Maker receives a certificate of appreciation and gift, presented by Sport Bay of Plenty, on behalf of Lotto Foundation and Sport New Zealand.
