Scavenger Hunts for April holidays

The Virtually on Track popular scavenger hunts are back for the Easter school holidays and are sure to be a great way to get out there and discover some of our local natural gems.

Solve clues, take photos and answer questions in local recreational areas and get out and explore our great outdoors with your whānau.

Sport Bay of Plenty’s recreation team leader Sonia Lynds says the scavenger hunts are a fun and engaging way to explore parks of high conservation value across the Bay of Plenty.

“There's four unique scavenger hunts available, and they’re always a really fun activity for the whole family and a chance to rediscover some hidden natural gems in the area such as the Te Rerenga Tunnel Track at TECT All Terrain Park or the Fairbrother Loop at Ōhope Beach.

Virtually on Track is a collaboration of the regional Department of Conservation office, Sport Bay of Plenty and Sport NZ. The unique partnership aims to bring an innovative approach to adventure sport and recreation in the Bay of Plenty.
