There are nearly a million volunteers in New Zealand who give up their time for sport, so Lotto NZ and Sport NZ have teamed up to reward them for the awesome work they do.

Sports volunteers or 'Sport Makers' come in all shapes and sizes, whether it’s blowing a whistle, coaching, balancing the books or helping cook the sausages for the fundraising BBQ - and they are all important in helping make sport happen.

To show our appreciation, Lotto is rewarding one lucky volunteer with an all-expenses-paid-trip for two the Hockey World League Final in Auckland this November.

The 'Vantage Black Sticks' Experience prize includes:

  • Return flights and transfers to Auckland (if required)
  • Three night's twin share accommodation at the Spencer on Bryon Hotel
  • Two General Admission tickets to the Hockey World Final games on 24, 25 and 26 November 2017
  • One $500 Prezzy Card
  • One signed Vantage Black Sticks hockey stick and Vantage Black Sticks merchandise.

PLUS, from the pool of nominated individuals, 10 Sport Makers will be selected to win $1000 worth of Lotto Volunteers gear.

Last year, David Massey from Rotorua was named as one of the Sport Maker finalists and came runner-up for the top prize for his work with the Rotorua Group Challenge bootcamp.

NOMINATIONS CLOSE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20.
