There was some excellent rugby league action yesterday at Arataki park with 17 Year 5 & 6 teams from the Western Bay of Plenty schools attending.

The teams were made up of a mixture of boys and girls. All the skills of league were on display and all games were played in great spirit. The supporters were also treated to a rousing haka from the Tahatai Coast school before a couple of their games. The final was a close match, having to go into extra time with Greenpark Primary (Toas) edging out Arataki Primary to take the tournament title for 2019. Well done to all teams and a special thank you to Tony, Hamana and Maya from Rugby League and to the volunteer referees.
