After a couple of short showers on the drive from Whakatane to Opotiki then quite a strong wind during the races the tamariki did an amazing job on
the day. This was the 1st Duathlon/Triathlon for many of the participants today. With approximately 193 children registered from 7 schools across the
Bay.

A big thank you to the parents who marshalled and to all the supporters cheering on the students.
