Perfect weather greeted over 300 students from 12 primary schools in the central area to attend the Central Schools Cluster Cross Country event held at Whakarewarewa School, Thursday 17th June 2021.
Despite the heavy rain a few days prior, the course was perfect for all our students aged 8 – 12 years. Great running from everyone and such awesome school and parent support. Tino pai!
A huge Thank you to Whakarewarewa School and staff for hosting and doing such an amazing job to ensure the event ran smoothly and with ease. To all our volunteer marshals, cyclists, our cooks who did our sausage sizzle and supplied soup for all and to all our parents and school support for attending and offering help throughout the day. Thank you also to Jordyn and her team from RGHS for helping with marshalling and organizing the finish line.
A special mention to Caiden Hislop of St Michaels Catholic School for showing aroha and atawhai. Caiden had stopped to help another student who had a fall. You are Amazing Caiden!
