Over 600 students from around the BOP attended as far as Taupo- Opotiki to compete in the BOP Athletics.
First time we have held all schools in the bop in a one day event the event used to be split into two events Mid Island athletics on grass track all Rotorua and Taupo Schools and the BOP was only Tauranga and Whakatane schools. To hold the first true BOP Athletics day on an all-weather track was a pleasure to watch. Athletes on the track were exceptional in many events from long distances to sprint events exciting action to watch on the day. Field events were packed with talented competitors records were broken and many close finishes.
Congratulations to all the students below who broke records historically some of the records were 10 years old
