Ladies – Do Something New, For You!

Ladies, round up your female friends, family, neighbours and colleagues, and do something new, for you, this September. Sport Bay of Plenty and an experienced group of skilled trainers have come together to provide the Spring Starter Series for Women.

Sport Bay of Plenty and an experienced group of skilled trainers have come together to provide the Spring Starter Series for Women. Designed for those who have always wanted to try something new, the Spring Starter Series offers beginner-level activity options with an emphasis on having fun while building skills, fitness and confidence.

Choose to enrol in your favourite option or sign up to all of them! The activities are low-cost, and with multiple day, time, and location options on offer there will be something for you no matter your schedule.

Ladies in the Western Bay have four great options to select from, including Primal Movement, for those keen to gain strength without bulk and build body awareness and balance through fundamental, natural human movement patterns; Learn to Play Golf at Omanu or Omokoroa golf courses and includes learning golf basics to playing holes on the course, with all equipment and coaching provided; Beginner Running and Motivation-Based Workshops are the perfect start If you’re looking to get into running or enter one of the many walking or running events held in the Bay this summer; Or, if you’re interested in martial arts but not sure which style you prefer, the Have a Go at Martial Arts option gives you the chance to experience Tae Kwon-Do, Kung-Fu, Kickboxing and Self-Defence.

In the Central Bay, ladies can register for a number of exciting activities such as Liv Beyond Rides which gives women a chance to discover the world of mountain biking designed for entry level mountain bikers; Rotavegas Box- Fit teaches the proper way to execute a decent jab, hook and upper cut punches as well as correct foot work and defence all whilst getting into top shape; Body Transformers Boot Camp will suit all ladies from beginners to energiser bunnies, with three walking tramps also to be completed as part of the challenge; Have a go Taekwondo will improve your fitness and self-confidence as you learn self-defence and poomsae (patterns); Beginners Pilates Plus focuses on core strengthening of the abdominals, back and pelvic floor muscles along with postural alignment of the spine, head, neck and shoulders.

Eastern Bay of Plenty ladies have lots to choose from including the Women’s Mountain Biking Skills option, which provides a chance to learn and upskill with Earthcycles, catering to beginner and intermediate riders; If you want to challenge yourself to attend classes and achieve great results then you are spoilt for choice with Uniqe Fitness Kawerau Women’s 4-week challenge, YWAC Gym Opotiki Women’s 30-day Fitness Challenge and Fitness Tumeke Whakatane Women’s Bootcamp Challenge; Or If you want a slower more holistic approach to exercise, then register for the Beginner and Gentle Yoga classes with Jane Steane of Dance of Life Yoga.

All levels of fitness and abilities are welcome to register for the Spring Starter Series and the trainers are looking forward to welcoming and supporting you to get active, have fun, and meet new people.
