TYNEALLE Fitzgerald loves sport, fitness and keeping healthy.
A year 12 student at Trident High School, Tynealle juggles playing 15-aside rugby with playing football for the school’s first XI. Whilst still in grading, the first XI has won all their games to date and is one of the reasons she moved schools this year. Tynealle started playing soccer at intermediate age and loves the running aspect of the game.
Soccer helps with Tynealle’s fitness for her other sport and passion, rugby.
She thrives on the opportunity to get out on the rugby field, run hard and be aggressive making the big tackles required of the flanker position.
Rugby is a pathway she hopes to pursue as a professional one day and she has been identified as a potential talent, having been selected into the Northern Region under-18 sevens camp at Mount Maunganui during the first week of the last school holidays.
Tynealle’s grit and determination to do well saw her come up first equal in the fitness component of the camp, reaching over 16 on the renowned yo-yo test.
