When Greerton Marist's Premier side runs out against Rangataua this Saturday, it will be in specially designed jerseys by the kids at Homes of Hope, to help raise awareness for the non-profit organisation.

Homes of Hope, the charity of choice for the Greerton Marist club, is a Greerton-based community organisation with a mission to see children safe in strong families and responsive communities - free from abuse, neglect and offending.

Greerton Marist charity organiser Talor Duncan is proud to be a part of the collaborative effort from the club and to have a positive impact in their local community.

"We saw a charity match as a great way bring our community together and also improve our connection with our wider community. As a club we wanted to provide a non-for-profit organisation with additional funds to continue their fantastic work within our local community.

"This event also makes the players and management step back from the 100% rugby focus and consider what the bigger picture about what our club provides to the local community."

Key drivers, such as Duncan, Greerton Marist Premier Coach Brendon Brill and past President of many years and current Vice President Terry Meredith, have drummed up plenty of support with the inclusion a number of local sponsors, and are hopeful the community and spectators will join them and donate generously on Saturday.
