Go by Bike Day rolls into the Bay
Tuesday, January 24, 2017
National Go By Bike Day is nearly upon us so pump up those tyres and get ready to join in the fun.
The annual event returns to the Western and Eastern Bay on Wednesday 8th February, with the Rotorua event two days later on Friday 10th February.
Anyone cycling to work or school on Go By Bike Day is encouraged to stop in at a pit stop where refreshments, spot prizes, and giveaways are up for grabs. Fill in a form while you’re there and go in the draw to win a $100 bike shop voucher!
Go By Bike Day is designed to encourage people to choose this more active mode of transport for their daily commute in order to build exercise into their lifestyle. It’s fun, easy and costs nothing!
Sport Bay of Plenty Recreation Team Leader Jen Riley says, “We are encouraging everyone to ditch their usual mode of transport and cycle to work; nothing beats cycling for a healthy activity that is great for the whole family”.
