We were very lucky to have fine weather for the 3rd edition of the Girls Playing Sport Day programme with approximately 160 girls from 11 schools in attendance.
All were excited at the prospect of the day, most trying the sports on offer for the very first time.
The girls also faced some extra challenges from the organisers, the first being to split into 5 equal groups, meaning separating from their school groups and having to make new friends.
Each group also had to come up with a team name and also a team dance/ cheer to share with everyone at lunchtime.
All challenges were met head on and the girls had a fun day with these and the five different sporting codes on offer.
A special thanks to Harbourside Netball for being the host venue and the coaches from each of the codes; Emma and Gemma from Hockey, Hikitia from Netball, Ashleigh from Sport bop ( Ultimate Frisbee ), Kendra from BOP Rugby, and Jasmine from Futsal.
