Focus on disability sport with Paralympics and Parafed

Learn about disability sport, give it a go, see it in action and meet New Zealand's Paralympians this month in series of events focused on disability sport.
Parafed Bay of Plenty is hosting their inaugural Disability SportFest across two days on March 24-25, which includes the ACC Paralympics New Zealand Open Day on the Sunday at ASB Arena.
SportFest will feature competitive action in the codes of Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Rugby and Boccia (seated bowls) at ASB Arena and Blind Bowls will be at Mount Greens. An opening will be held at 9am on Saturday.
The Open Day features as part of the two-day festival. The ACC Paralympics New Zealand Open Day is a free event for anyone to attend.
You’ll have the chance to try out some Para Sports e.g Wheelchair Rugby, Wheelchair Basketball, Boccia, Para athletics and more, plus plenty of other cool things to see and do - including meeting a number of Para Athletes.
