Community consultation on bike safety
Monday, September 18, 2017
Tauranga City Council is now engaging with the community on how they can make Tauranga safer and easier for people on bikes.
They are keen to hear from people who do ride, but also those who don't currently ride a bike but might if it was safer and easier.
There are a number of ways people can be involved and everyone who provides feedback is in with a chance to win two bikes worth $1000 each:
- Come and talk to TCC: From Monday 18 September, Council will be out talking to the community at local events, markets and shopping malls. The events are outlined in the link below.
- Map your thoughts: People can drop a pin on a map or draw on a hard copy of the map and let them know any routes they think should be added, removed or improved, and any places where there are problems for riding a bike.
- Tell Us More: This is an online survey and a hard copy feedback form with a few questions to help TCC set priorities.
- Share your ideas: Get creative and enter your own ideas on how to get more people riding bikes in Tauranga. People can vote on these and share ideas.
