2014 Port of Tauranga Half 25th Anniversary
Friday, February 22, 2013
The Port of Tauranga Half will be held on Saturday 4th January 2014, and this event doubles as the 25th Anniversary so is a great reason to celebrate all that is good about the event and the region. A 25th Anniversary committee has been formed and are working through a number of ideas to make this a memorable event.
The Port of Tauranga have once again confirmed as the naming sponsor – the 23rd year they have been involved in this capacity which is truly remarkable, and we thank them for their contribution to the event over such a long period.
We have listened to your feedback regarding opening dates and have decided to open the event for entries on May 1 in line with the approach last year. In a new initiative in order to cater for those that would like to commit themselves now to the event we will run a ‘preferential waitlist’ for those that want to sign up early. No payment will be required, so it is a sign up now, pay later approach. Details of this will be available over the next few weeks. Like us on Facebook to get regular updates or visit www.tgahalf.co.nz for event information. Alternatively you can email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any queries.
As a community organisation, this event helps Sport Bay of Plenty raise the profile of our region and sport in general, with any profits going back to support sport in the local community.
All the best to all those competing in Ironman next week, and we look forward to talking more over the next few months as we all plan ahead for another exciting season!
From the team at Sport Bay of Plenty
