Get active and learn at the same time with free, guided bike rides around some of Tauranga's areas of significance.
Led by local Māori historian Reweti Te Mete, there are two Historic Ride events the public can register for in April, 2021.

Wairoa River Historic Ride
Grab your bike and start your weekend with a guided ride around the Wairoa River. Meet at the Wairoa River Bridge carpark on the Te Puna side on Saturday, April 17, ready for a 9am start.
Pukehinahina Historic Ride
The Pukehinahina Historic Ride on Saturday, April 24 will take riders around areas of significance around Gate Pā. The ride will start at 9am and the meeting point will be at the Maxwells Rd beach carpark.
This ride will precede the anniversary of the Battle of Gate Pā (Pukehinahina) on April 29.
