Bike Wise is New Zealand’s national programme of activities, which promote cycling as a fun, healthy and safe way to travel.
Bike Wise Month, held in February every year, consists of a number of activities and events across the country, including the Mayoral Challenge, Go By Bike Day and the Bike Wise Challenge.

National Go By Bike Day is a one day event in February every year where thousands of kiwis ditch their cars, trains or buses – and cycle to work or school. This years More FM Go By Bike Day is on Wednesday 1st February 2012. Gather your work colleagues, enlist your friends and have fun commuting with the family on Go By Bike Day!
See the locations and times below to join other keen commuters for a FREE breakfast. This is a great day to start commuting so cycle into the city and enjoy a healthy breakfast.

BIKEWISE BUSINESS CHALLENGE
The BikeWise Business Challenge is a fun, free, online competition which encourages you to give cycling a go during BikeWise month. Organisations compete against others of a similar size in their region to see who can get the highest percentage of members/staff cycling. Give it a go there are heaps of prizes up for grabs.

TYKES ON TRIKES
A riding spectacular for the under 5's. Lots of fun for everyone to enjoy! Join us for a festive and fun-filled morning as we encourage all the under 5 year olds to ride around the Tykes on Trikes course. Decorate your bike and put your riding skills to the test with this fun obstacle course. Locations and dates/times below. For more information download your local BikeWise calendar from above.
