Working with schools to support school sports events and provide professional development opportunities for teachers.
Secondary School Events
Sport Bay of Plenty assists sports with the administration and running of various Secondary School events in the Bay of Plenty region. We work closely alongside Sport Coordinators in Secondary schools and representatives from all sports.
Annually we work alongside all sports to put together a calendar of events that provide an over view of the events for the year that are being held to enable the sports coordinators and coaches/managers to plan for their schools.
We have been very proactive to encourage the involvement of students with disabilities in our athletics and sporting events.
Eligibility for all BOP Secondary Schools Events align with the New Zealand Secondary School Sports Council - 1st January 2009.

Kiwisport RPF KickStart Applications CLOSING 16TH MARCH 2010 |

The Kiwisport RPF Kickstart applications are now open. Funds will be available in each of the three sub regions for ‘smaller’ initiatives (up to $2,000) that assist in the achievement of the objectives of KiwiSport. The priority will be given to initiatives that reduce inequalities (e.g. reduce cost), or show innovation.

Major Projects must demonstrate collaboration and /or reduce duplication of services, especially competition for athletes and coaches, will be given priority. Priority will be given to projects that have at least four (4) partners involved, and have a mix of shorter term and longer term focus.
